Back in the office after a long-feeling work trip to east montreal. I forgot my laptop charger for the last trip - and the hotel lacked internet, so no posts. Meh.
This weekend was a mix of social life, and painting rooms in the Troll house, to prepare it for sale in January. I have a lot of painting and cleaning yet to do. At present, the basement dwelling roomie is attempting to secure financing to buy the joint off of me. If he manages it, great - I can get finished moving and be free of home ownership. If not, Its onto the market in January. I am still unsure as to whether or not he can get financing these days. The lending markets are probably not as forgiving as they were in the day of NINJA mortgates.
Managed to catch the new Disney flick, as well as the Golden compass. I found the disney film to be quite a lot of fun. The Golden COmpass was dissapointing. I guess as a kids movie, they had to pull out all its teeth in order to make it sell. Its a pity, because the books were awesome. I guess after thoroughly enjoying "V for Vendetta" I was hoping for a movie that tore into organized religion the way V tore into government - but it was not to be.
On the plus side - I have discovered a TV show this week called "Robot Chicken" that I totally love. It has just enough of that edgy and insane humor that I loved when I first discovered South Park, but now feel it somehow lost.
Once some shows hit the mainstream, they start to taste more like Tofu - or perhaps its a factor in the fact that that level of sacriledge becomes mainstream, making it taste that way.
Any way, I found me a new burger - because sacred cows always make the best patties.
