(no subject)

I have been adding little bits of trim to the boat, and refinishing the stairs. Not a whole lot of progress, but school still looms (astronomy stuff) and also the wedding. Boat work is just plain slow this summer. In some ways, the trip has become psychologically further away, although on the calendar it is definitively closer. Most of this comes from the timetable no longer being entirely in my hands. I am a big fan of having a grip on my own destiny. In some ways, losing a bit of that grip is causing me to lose sight of the goal as well.

Hopefully the mizzen mast will get raised and I will resume making things prettier. I have a coat of paint, and some decking to replace before that happens. The boat computer works well enough on AC - I just have to solder together the power converter for it to run off of DC. 

My Wifi repeater is sucking bigtime. I think its antennas are screwy, or its antenna connection. Time perhaps to secure another WRT54GL board and some better wires, and see if I can improve my boats RF situation.

3 weeks till the mega vacation. Fneh.
