I have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years.  And they always seem to have the same formula for beds - a sheet, a thin synthetic blanket, and a bedspread. None of these, with the exception of a really high threadcount sheet are really conducive to a comfortable sleep in a room that isnt precisely the right temperature and humidity. Few rooms are that nice temperature wise. Perhaps this is one reason why I dont really have a lot of customer loyalty when it comes to Hotels. Their customer loyalty and points cards are good to have in the winter - you can scrape the windshield with em.

Well, I may have finally found a favourite - Radisson.

Comfy beds, possibly more comfy than my own at home. Adjusteable hardness bed mattresses, and a high thread-count duvet. A massive assortment of pillows, at least one of which is likely to be just right. The rest are decent for pillowfights. HSI that works.

My only gripe would be that the restaraunt had a limited selection of healthy food.

Well, off to work - what day is it anyway? My weekend work is blurring the distinctions between days again.

I've found hotels vary -- though those thin synthetic blankets seem a bit more common at the lower end than the higher end (of the middle). I've encountered highly variable firmness in beds -- no not yet adjustable hardness -- and high variability in the type of covering.

We stayed in the Radisson in Quebec City once. It was very nice, I remember being very happy with the room and everything in it. It was $100 more per night than the crappy place we stayed in the previous night.
