Note to all readers. LJ has included a new adult content filtering system into LJ and has set everybodys LJ default filtering to filter adult content, or at least collapse it!

To see things as they used to look, without the subtle censorship, go to

Journal -> settings

Scroll down and select DO not collapse adult content.

Also, if your LJ never uses four letter words, or shows nipples, or anything more adult than Barney - then set your default LJ post level to non-adult so other people who havent figured out the changes dont have to de-collapse all your suddenly ADULT tagged posts.

Eeeep.

1. My journal seems to have defaulted to no adult content. Not sure why mine is different from yours, I have never set it that way. Perhaps you did on yours?

2. In the "collapsing adult content" section of my settings, the two lesser options (collapse explicit and do not collapse) are greyed out for me, I can't select them. Yes, my birthdate is specified, LJ knows how old I am. Any suggestions?

3. Thanks for doing all the research on this, and sharing it!

Re: Eeeep.

Oh, doh! No, LJ did not know how old I was. I must have been shy when I set it up some 6 years ago or so. :) All fixed now. Again, thanks for the research!

My options were already at the least-restrictive. It does know my birthdate.

I do occasionally post stuff about sex, but I use a friends-filter and cut tags, so who needs new settings.
