Yesterday was a pretty decent day, despite being in Toronto again. Actually it was quite nice. A mix of productive and fun.
My customer is a major toy manufacturer. I am working just upstairs from their R&D department. Its hard to describe what it looks like down there, but my inner child just wants to go and check out all the cool stuff. Instead I am implementing a backup method for SAP databases.
After work, went for a great 7K run along the lakeshore. Managed to find some HASH marks too, along the latter part of my run - although with the dearth of rain, they may have been leftovers from a long past HASH.
After the run, I got in a decent bit of Thai, without stuffing or carbing myself overmuch, and then got down to schoolwork. I managed to ace one quiz, and write up about half of one of the Tutor marked papers. I am hoping to get the database project done this week, as well as another tutor marked paper, and the rest of the quizzes. Technically, I guess I am only supposed to start the course after October 1 - but since its a survey computing course and prereq, I figure its OK if I complete more than half of it before the first day. I already gave into temptation and wrote the "final exam readiness" quiz and got 87 - so I suppose most of this credit is going to be about the projects and whether I dot my Is and cross my Ts.
I figure tonight will be a mini workout - seeing as I have a pair of 20lb dumbells in the trunk of the car.
Oh, and I figured out why wireless internet at the hotel wasnt working for me - my adapter was locked into 802.11g mode - and this place only does b mode. Fixed and online! Yeah!
Well, back to SAP and DB2.
